There are alot of ghosts and spirts mentioned in the bible. If you do a search you can see them. One of the first verses that most are aware of is in I Samuel, where Saul has a medium, "call up" the prophet Samuel from the other side of the grave:
"And Samuel saith to Saul, Why hast thou troubled me, to bring me up?" Samuel 28:15

Make no mistake I am in no way a supporter of the occult or in any practice that is a direct abomonation to the Lord according to Deuteronomy 18:10-11 "There shall not be found among you anyone ....that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter or a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer."
Actually, The Bible says, "The Dead no not anything, for in the day that a man dies even his love his hatred and his envy perishes."
Saul, however, didn't believe These Scriptures... and Yahweh's Prophets wouldn't talk to him and offer Yahweh's advice - in how to win against his enemies. Therefore, he went to a Medium.
According to The Scriptures, Mediums aren't talking to our dead ancestors; but rather, to very much alive Demons [ fallen angels ]... and that is why, the Scriptures say to 'Stone Them'.
